Welcome to Puglia & Trani at Sunset
Arrive at Bari Airport or Bari Centrale train station. Depending on your arrival time, a private driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals area holding a sign with your name.
Private transfer by minivan to Trani and check-in at your boutique hotel for a 2-night stay (Palazzo Paciotti or similar), an elegant historic residence in the heart of the old town.
Since the historic center is a pedestrian area, you won't have to worry about your luggage: our team will take care of a dedicated transfer directly to your room.
At 18:00 PM, meet your authorized local guide in front of the evocative Romanesque Cathedral overlooking the sea for a sunset stroll through the fishing port, the medieval village, and the Jewish quarter with the Scolanova Synagogue.
At 19:30 PM, a welcome aperitif will be served in a traditional restaurant overlooking the harbor, complete with a tasting of local Apulian products. The evening will be free for dinner and an overnight stay in Trani..
OVERNIGHT STAY IN TRANI
Castel del Monte, Moscato wine & history
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure from Trani for Castel del Monte at 10:00 AM . A detailed guided tour with no lines. Return to Trani at 13:00 PM with free time for lunch.
At 16:30 PM, a guided wine tour with a tasting of Moscato di Trani DOC and Murge wines in a historic winery. Return to the hotel at 18:00 PM and overnight stay in Trani.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN TRANI
Burrata, extra virgin olive oil, and Bari at sunset
Breakfast and check-out.
Meeting point: 9:00 AM at the Church of Santa Teresa, just steps from your hotel. Our team will take care of loading your luggage, then we'll head to a traditional cheese factory for a hands-on experience making mozzarella and burrata, followed by a tasting. We'll continue to a local olive oil mill for an extra virgin olive oil tasting and an introduction to Apulian olive oil production.
Arrival in Bari at 15:00 PM.
Check-in at Hotel Boston or similar, free time.
Meeting point: 18:00 PM in Piazza Federico II di Svevia, at the entrance to the Swabian Castle, for a guided sunset tour of Bari's historic center. Free evening
OVERNIGHT STAY IN BARI
Alberobello and Polignano a Mare
Breakfast.
At 9:00 a.m., meet your driver at your hotel and depart for Alberobello for a guided walk through the trulli district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with talks with local artisans and stories of local traditions.
We continue to Polignano a Mare, with tasting stops—including traditional focaccia and Polignano's famous coffee—and a walking tour of the historic center and the panoramic terraces overlooking the sea.
Departure for Bari at 14:00 PM. Free afternoon and evening.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN BARI
Matera
Breakfast and check-out.
At 9:00 a.m., meet your driver at your hotel and depart for Matera. Luggage storage is available at the hotel, and at 10:30 a.m., meet your guide for a guided tour of the Sassi district, which includes a visit to a cave dwelling, a rock-hewn church, and a tasting of Amaro Lucano.
The tour ends at 12:30 pm. Free time to explore the city and admire it at sunset.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN MATERA
Baroque Lecce and papier-mâché
Breakfast and check-out.
At 10:00 am, private transfer from Matera to Lecce.
Arrive in Lecce, check in at the Hotel President (or similar) for a two-night stay. Luggage storage and free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, meet at 4:00 PM at Via Vico de Argentis 16/A for a 3-hour tour of Lecce's Baroque architecture, combined with an authentic papier-mâché workshop. The experience includes a tasting of traditional coffee and pasticciotto, the beloved local pastry specialty.
Relax and have free time. Evening at leisure.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN LECCE
Otranto and Gallipoli: sea, history, and charm of the South
Breakfast.
At 9:00 am, meet your driver at the hotel and depart for Otranto.
You'll discover Italy's easternmost city aboard a traditional Ape Calessino. You'll explore the historic center, admire the Cathedral with its extraordinary mosaic floor, stroll through the quaint alleys, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. Free time.
We continue to Gallipoli. Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, you'll enjoy an Ape Calessino experience through Gallipoli's enchanting historic center, discovering noble palaces, baroque churches, picturesque streets, and spectacular sea views. You'll have free time to soak up the atmosphere of this charming seaside town.
Return to Lecce. Free evening
