Split to Dubrovnik 8-day Bike and Boat Tour around the South Dalmatian islands

If you would like to experience the region of South Dalmatia thoroughly, not wanting to do without Dubrovnik and its amazing city walls, this sail and cycle trip is an excellent choice. Accompanied by our charming motor yacht, we get to know this sparsely populated part of Croatia. Breathtaking scenic experiences and cultural highlights await you. The highlights of the trip are the town centre of Dubrovnik and Split which are listed as UNESCO’s world heritage sites. We cycle the islands of Mljet, Lastovo, Korčula, Hvar and Brač and experience the interaction of sea and land, culture and nature close up and personally.

Tour character: Level 4

Cycling tours through hilly to mountainous terrain with some steeper ascents of up to approximately 400 meters. Requires confident riding on winding descents, uneven asphalt, and occasionally gravel paths. Suitable for experienced cyclists accustomed to longer daily stages. The roads are mostly asphalted and there is little traffic outside of holiday periods. On the island of Hvar, a short section runs along unpaved gravel and field tracks. There are no designated bike paths in Dalmatia, so the bike tours take place on public roads, preferably on quiet side streets.

Safe cycling skills and familiarity with road traffic are prerequisites for taking part in our tours. Anyone renting an e-bike should already have experience and be confident in handling e-bikes, as these bikes are significantly heavier and faster than conventional bikes.

Premium Ship:

At 32 x 7.6 m the elegant two mast motor yacht was launched in 2007 and combines seafaring romanticism with modern day amenities. Above all, the captain is proud of keeping his boat looking elegant and smart. Both the salon and outer decks have upscale facilities and have been furnished with great attention to detail. The 16 air-conditioned guest cabins are spacious and include a shower and WC. 

Children:

We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.20 m (4 ft.) for hybrid bicycles and 1.50 m (4.5 ft.) for e-bikes. Helmets must be worn by all children up to age 16 in Croatia

Catering:

The on-board chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 2 x full board and 5 x half board. It starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day

• Price per person for a cabin above deck: FROM 1999 EUR
• Single cabins are quoted for a twin/double bed below deck. If none are available, a double upper deck may be offered. 
• Special dietary requests (lactose free / gluten free / vegan), surcharge: 70 euro (must be communicated in advance, payment on board)
• Insurance against theft and damage of the rental bike: hybrid bicycle: 14 EUR/week; e-bike: 28 EUR/week (not insured: grossly negligent damages)
