  • Day 1

    Arrival in Innsbruck

Arrive in Innsbruck at your own pace and enjoy a relaxed walk through the famous old town, featuring the iconic Town Tower and the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl). Then, venture up to the Bergisel ski jump or, just across, to the Hafelekar for stunning panoramic views. Wrap up the day by savoring a traditional Tyrolean Gröstl, a beloved regional specialty. An information briefing and bike handover will complete your arrival.

  • Day 2

    Innsbruck – Bressanone approx. 50km + transfer

After breakfast, transfer to the Brenner Pass by train or minibus. From the small border town of Brenner, you’ll cycle mostly along the well-developed bike path following the Eisack River. Passing through Gossensass, you’ll reach the once-powerful Fugger town of Sterzing. Continue on to Thumberg and the beautiful Reifenstein Castle, then through Stilfes and Mittewald before arriving at Franzensfeste with its famous fortress. The bike path then leads you to the peaceful and scenic Vahrner Lake, on to Vahrn, and finally to the bishop’s town of Bressanone, your destination for the day.

  • Day 3

    Bressanone – Bolzano approx. 40km

Starting in Bressanone, you’ll cycle along the Isarco River, passing the charming town of Chiusa before reaching Waidbruck, where you can enjoy a stunning view of Trostburg Castle. The valley narrows as you enter the basin of Bolzano. This vibrant city, where two cultures meet, welcomes you with numerous attractions such as Waltherplatz and the picturesque arcades. Don’t miss an exciting visit to the Archaeological Museum to see Ötzi, the famous Iceman.

  • Day 4

    Bolzano – Trento approx. 70km

Starting from Bolzano, you’ll follow the Eisack River until you soon reach the Adige. The beautiful bike path then winds through orchards all the way to Salorno, where the German-speaking South Tyrol comes to an end. From here, vineyards producing the robust red wine “Teroldego” accompany you to the charming historic old town of Trento.

  • Day 5

    Trento – Ala/Rivalta approx. 45-60km

The Adige Valley narrows steadily as the rugged mountain cliffs draw closer, where impressive castles have stood guard for centuries over one of the region’s most important trade routes. Rovereto and the Mozart town of Ala lie along your path and invite you to explore. The bike path then continues on to today’s destination, Rivalta.

  • Day 6

    Ala/Rivalta – Verona approx. 50-65km

Today’s destination is none other than Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. You’ll cycle along the beautiful, unspoiled banks of the Adige River on top-quality bike paths. Once in Verona, treat yourself to some Italian delights—enjoy pizza, pasta, and gelato at the charming local eateries.

  • Day 7

    Verona - Vicenza approx. 70km

The route begins with flat terrain before meandering through the gently rolling hills of the Monti Berici, a beloved excursion area near Vicenza, where you’ll be treated to stunning views over the city. If you’d like to shorten this longer stage, you can opt to take the train from the start up to San Bonifacio. In Vicenza’s charming historic center, the influence of Palladio, the renowned Renaissance architect, is still vividly present.

  • Day 8

    Vicenza - Abano Terme/Padua approx. 45-55km

Numerous Venetian villas line the route out of Vicenza, including the famous Villa Rotonda. Following the Bacchiglione River, the path leads to Abano Terme, one of Italy’s renowned spa towns. From Abano Terme, the city of Padua, famous for Saint Anthony and its scholars, is easily accessible by bus. You’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the thermal baths.

  • Day 9

    Abano Terme - Venice/Mestre approx. 40-50km

Usually gently propelled by the light breeze, cycling toward the sea feels effortless. The landscape is shaped by meadows and fields. Your stage ends on the mainland just before Venice, with excellent bus connections into the lagoon city.
